The union has resolved approximately 300 grievances at Step 2, 2, 3, and through pre arbitrations since April 4, 2005.
The success of the union is the cooperation between stewards and officers at all levels of the union.
When an employee files a grievance they have a concern. If there is a violation the union should file a grievance and seek a just resolution.
One of the most difficult issue is when an employee has a complaint and the complaint is not a violation of the contract. In these situations the union can attempt to resolve the issue but never at the expense of other union members.
As the local vice president I am deeply involved with the grievance procedure and appreciate all the hard work done by our local stewards, and officers at the local, state, regional, and national level.
