The local has requested a meeting to discuss some key issues with USPS - Santa Ana District.
We have requested meeting on these issues: 1. Date and method of filling currently withheld clerk and maintenance positions. 2. Current Santa Ana policy of issuing discipline after two incidents within a ninety-day period. 3. The issue of "casuals" in offices represented by our local.
In addition the Santa Ana P & DC reissued many rules and policies recently and we have scheduled a meeting on this issue for June 20, 2005.
