For those of you who don't know me, my name is Frank Townsend. I was born in Long Beach, California and raised in Garden Grove. My wife, Teri, and I have been married 34 years and have two children, Dawn and Mike, and one grandson, Kyle.

I was in the US Air Force from 1969-1973 and joined the Postal Service in November 1973. My entire postal career has been as a clerk at the Garden Grove Post Office where I've held the following jobs:

distribution clerk
time keeper
bulk mail clerk
bulk mail technician

I've been active in the union since early in my postal career and have held the following positions:

Chief steward--1982-1985, 2002-2005
Secretary/Treasurer--1985-1996
Trustee--2002-present
Vice President--2006-present
Co-Chair, 1992 National APWU Convention
Co-Chair, 2000 National APWU Convention
