President James Chiang and I are scheduled to meet with APWU Western Region Coordinator Omar Gonzalez and other locals from Southern California to address the excess due to the closing of the Marina Plant on Wednesday, June 15, 2005.

Employees are being excessed into some of the offices we represent.

One of our major concerns is the USPSD withheld a lot of positions in the Clerk Craft and Maintenance Craft. We want to know exactly what the USPS plans are and will let the membership know as soon as we know details.
