The Southwest Coastal Area Local has authorized a get out the vote contest. Voting is an extremely important issue.

If the local has 1300 or more members voting, a member of our local will be able to win a big screen television of his or her choice not to exceed a total cost of five thousand dollars ($5000.00.)

The winner will have his or her name drawn by the National APWU, AFL-CIO Election Committee Chairperson in Washington, D.C. on or about October 6, 2007.

1300 voting members is the trigger to authorize the drawing for the big screen television.

All members, stewards, and officers are asked to encourage our members to vote.
