Please call the union office if you are coming to the Children’s Christmas Party (December 2, 2007) or the holiday dinner (December 29, 2007).

In addition, please remind the workers in your work area we have a Children’s Christmas Party and a Holiday Dinner, asked them to call the union office if they wish to attend.

We have completed the 2007 All Craft Conference. The conference was a success and the officers attending all appear to agree. The information we received will assist us all in our role as a union representative.

2007 was a very successful year for the local. We are financially sound. We were able to offer a lot to our members and officers during 2007. We had a Maintenance Seminar, Retirement Seminar, JCIM Seminar, Picnic, All Craft Conference, Children’s Christmas Party, and Holiday Dinner as well as represent many of our members in the grievance procedure.

We witnessed the elimination of Part Time Flexibles in the 200 man year offices. A few Part Time Flexibles left the smaller offices and reassigned to the 200 man year offices and are full time regulars at this time. We had excessing but the number was reduced and negative impact on employees was reduced. We will have less casual employees in 2008. Every employee will be upgraded a level on February 16, 2008.

The next two Exceutive Board Meetings are at 3 PM on January 26, 2008 and February 9, 2008.
